KATHRYN OLDFIELD CERAMICS

I live in a small stone shepherd's house in the middle of a forest in the south of France with my family and our animals. It is a great place to live and work and a huge source of inspiration for my work. I came to ceramics after a career in spacial design. I throw the vessels to be used as a type of podium for my sculptures. I never use moulds in my work which means each piece is unique.

I throw the vases on my porcelain potter's wheel and make the sculptures by hand.
